Established in 2002, the College of Arts at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) is home to three departments: Fine Arts, Music, and Journalism & Communication. It offers four undergraduate programs—Music Performance, Theater, Film, and Television Art Design, Environmental Design, and Broadcasting and Television. The Music Performance program has been designated a national first-class undergraduate construction site. At the same time, the other three are listed as Jiangsu provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites.

At the graduate level, the college offers master's degrees in two primary academic disciplines: Art studies and design. It also offers professional master's programs in Journalism & Communication and Fine Arts & Calligraphy.

The college boasts a dedicated team of 70 faculty and staff members, including 58 full-time academic staff. Among them, 65 percent hold senior professional titles and 31 percent hold doctoral degrees. Our faculty members have received over 30 national-level awards and honors, securing more than 70 awards at the provincial and ministerial levels.

The college is supported by various high-level research platforms, including several research bases dedicated to cultural heritage and tourism, the Institute of Jiangsu Folk Performing Arts, and the Jiangsu Institute of Stage Design. The college is also home to the Jiangsu provincial key laboratory of cultural relic non-destructive testing and safety traceability.

The facilities include 14 specialized platforms, such as the Yanhu Academy, Yanhu Art Gallery, and music hall, all promoting collaborative learning and resource sharing across disciplines.

The college has received numerous accolades in recent years, including the first prize of the Jiangsu provincial Teaching Achievement Award, multiple provincial- and ministry-level education reform projects, curriculum development awards, and teaching competition honors. Faculty members have secured nearly 30 national and provincial research grants, producing high-quality academic work and creative pieces.

The college actively fosters collaboration with relevant enterprises and public institutions, establishing over 10 joint education platforms. Internationally, it has built stable partnerships with leading institutions such as the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence and the University of Florence in Italy, Seoul National University in South Korea, and Anadolu University in Turkey.

To date, the college has earned hundreds of awards at the national and provincial levels, with over 1,000 works featured across various media platforms. Its graduates are highly sought after, with consistently high employment rates. Alumni have made significant contributions in civil aviation, aerospace, higher education, media, and performing arts organizations across China.
