The College of Electronic and Information Engineering at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) consists of two departments: Electronic Science and Technology, and Information and Communication Engineering. It covers two first-level disciplines: Electronic Science and Technology, and Information and Communication Engineering.
Other disciplines include: Signal and Information Processing, a national defense discipline; Detection and Imaging, a key emerging interdisciplinary discipline of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT); Electronic Science and Technology, a key discipline of Jiangsu province; and Information and Communication Engineering, an advantageous discipline of universities in Jiangsu province.
The college focuses on building key laboratories at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, while striving to create high-level platforms for teaching, scientific research, and innovation.
It has established an array of high-level research platforms, such as:
- National Key Laboratory of Microwave Photonics (Tianyuan Laboratory)
- Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Radar Imaging and Microwave Photonic
- Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of IoT and Control
- MIIT Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Spectrum Spatial Cognitive Dynamic Systems
In addition, the college is also a leader in constructing:
- China's first MIIT-approved Research Institute of Electromagnetic Spectrum
- National Demonstration Center for Experimental Electrical and Electronic Education
- NUAA-Nanjing Yangtze Electronics Group National Engineering Practice Education Center
- NUAA-China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute Industry-Education Collaboration Base
The college currently has 46 professors, 66 associate professors, totaling 118 full-time teachers, among whom:
- One is a Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering
- One is Qian Weichang Chair Professor
- Two are Changjiang Scholars
- Four are National Major Talent Program (Category A) recipients
- Two are National Outstanding Youth Science Fund awardees
- One hundred and thirty-seven are provincial and ministerial-level talents
The college has also established one national-level innovative team, one excellent scientific and technological innovation team of colleges and universities in Jiangsu province, and one excellent teaching team of the Qing Lan Project in Jiangsu province.
