2025 Low-Altitude Industry Innovation Contest to kick off in Nanjing

To further promote the innovative development of new quality productive forces, including low-altitude economy, deepen technological integration and innovation in the low-altitude industry, and create a globally influential innovation competition, the 2025 Low-Altitude Industry Innovation Contest will take place in Nanjing in June.

The contest is co-hosted by the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Nanjing Communications Construction and Investment Holdings (Group) Co.

The contest features “Explorer” and “Pilot” tracks, each with one main theme.

The “Explorer Track” is set for university students, focusing on tapping into their innovative potential. Each participating team can have one or two advisors.

This track focuses on technical innovation. It encourages tech-driven solutions in aircraft design, infrastructure, and more. Participants should use new technologies, materials, or methods to create or improve products, with an eye on real-world industry applications.

The “Pilot Track” is intended for university professionals, research institutions, enterprises, and freelancers. It encourages collaboration by facilitating resource sharing and complementary advantages, with the objective of stimulating the innovative vitality of the international community.

This track focuses on application innovation. It centers on practical scenarios and integrated innovation. Participants should explore innovative scenarios for low-altitude applications and combine tech with business to create valuable services or products.

Submissions include on-site roadshows, contest presentations, flight demonstrations, and more. All teams must register and submit entries via the contest website by May 20. Each participant or team can apply for up to three projects, each limited to one track.
