Basic Information
Wang Chenghua is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Integrated Circuits in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA). He holds the title of National Distinguished Teacher and is a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance Expert.
Educational Background
After graduating from the Radio Engineering Department of Southeast University in 1987, he began his teaching career at NUAA. From September 1996 to September 1997, he served as a visiting scholar at the Moscow Aviation Institute.
Research Interests
Professor Wang's research focuses on high-performance computing chip design and hardware information security technologies. To address the growing demands for artificial intelligence and 6G applications, he has developed multiple high-performance approximate computing unit circuits and design paradigms – significantly enhancing their performances while reducing chip power consumption and their footprint.
For embedded and resource-constrained circuits, he has proposed various physical unclonable function circuits to ensure the hardware-layer security of information systems. His work on post-quantum cryptography chips has advanced optimization strategies across core operators, circuit architectures and system-level integration.
He has received five provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards and has mentored two Pakistani students to date: One earned a PhD in 2022 and another completed a postdoctoral program in 2021.
