The Laboratory of Creative Workshop at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) focuses on research in environmental design and visual design.
It currently offers several practical courses, including computer-aided design, three-dimensional animation in virtual environments, virtual reality design, and comprehensive training in electric woodworking. These courses train students in digital graphic design and the use of digital design skills to create tangible objects.
As of 2025, the laboratory has undertaken over 10 horizontal scientific research projects, completed three practical academic works, and published more than 20 articles in various prestigious journals.
In terms of international cooperation projects and social application value, the laboratory, relying on outstanding teaching faculty and hardware, applied for and launched the Jiangsu province graduate workstation together with the Suzhou Campus of Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It guides students to participate in prestigious competitions, winning various national awards.
