According to the Essential Science Indicators Database released by Clarivate Analytics on Sept 11, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has entered the global top 1 percent in the Economics & Business discipline for the first time.
This follows the inclusion of NUAA's Clinical Medicine discipline in July. With a total of 10 disciplines now ranked top 1 percent, this highlights NUAA's rising academic influence and marks a breakthrough in its discipline development.
NUAA's Economics & Business discipline covers research areas such as energy economics and environmental management, financial markets, corporate sustainability, consumer behavior, and innovation & technology management. In recent years, it has consistently produced high-quality research publications that have gained significant international recognition.
ESI is a widely used tool for evaluating scientific research performance and tracking the development of disciplines. Updated every two months, it covers 22 subject categories across universities and research institutions worldwide. The latest statistics include publications and citations from Jan 1, 2015, to June 30, 2025.
