Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics held the opening ceremony for its Class of 2025 graduate students on Sept 4.
Professor Yuan Shenfang from the College of Aerospace Engineering, speaking on behalf of the graduate supervisors, offered five suggestions to help new students succeed in their academic journey. She encouraged them to learn to think independently, cultivate resilience, value practical work, emphasize methods, and actively seek support. She urged the students to grow into outstanding talents with a strong sense of national responsibility, firm character, and innovation capability.
Distinguished NUAA alumnus Wang Zhisong shared his personal journey of pursuing his dreams at NUAA. He shared three key insights: remain true to the original aspiration, continuously refine rigorous and meticulous skills, and maintain a spirit of exploration and courage.
Following the ceremony, all graduate students attended an in-person orientation session. The program featured themed lectures by Yang Xuehua, director of NUAA's Mental Health Education Center; Wang Zihe, head of technical safety and environmental protection at NUAA's Assets and Laboratory Management Office; and Lou Jun, a senior police superintendent. They provided guidance on mental health, laboratory safety, and the prevention of telecom and online fraud.
