A delegation led by Zou Ciyong, deputy to the director general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, visited Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics on Sept 15 for in-depth discussions on talent development, scientific research, and cooperation.

Jiang Bin, president of NUAA, highlighted the university's longstanding strengths in green manufacturing, intelligent equipment, new energy, advanced materials, and artificial intelligence within the aerospace and civil aviation sectors. These capabilities provide strong support for promoting sustainable industrial development.

He emphasized the university's commitment to engaging with international organizations and encouraging students and faculty to participate in global governance initiatives.

Jiang extended an invitation to UNIDO to deepen collaboration at a higher level, particularly in cultivating top-tier talent, joint research on frontier technologies, and co-building international scientific platforms. He underscored that such partnerships could contribute valuable knowledge and solutions to global industrial sustainability and the broader goal of building a shared future for humanity.

Zou noted that UNIDO has in recent years been actively hosting interns and technical experts from member countries and is committed to expanding academic exchanges, technology cooperation, and talent networks among its members.

He expressed hope that NUAA will continue to provide experts in industrial policy, technological innovation, and artificial intelligence.
