The results of the 16th University Physics Competition have been announced, with NUAA teams delivering an outstanding performance. They claimed five gold medals — accounting for 31.25 percent of all gold awards worldwide — along with 30 silver medals and 38 bronze medals, placing the university among the top performers both in China and internationally.

The five gold-winning teams were composed of undergraduates from the Changkong College, the College of Electronic and Information Engineering, the College of Astronautics, and the College of Physics. All chose to tackle Problem B, which focused on the precise evaluation of projectile firing parameters.

Approaching the challenge from different angles, the teams developed comprehensive ballistic dynamics and error analysis frameworks. Their research provided critical theoretical support for high-precision parameter inversion and performance evaluation, demonstrating strong analytical capabilities and innovative thinking in applying physics to complex real-world problems.
