NUAA invites young global scientists to apply for national research fund

Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics has issued a global call for applications for the 2026 Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas). This prestigious program, managed by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, seeks to attract outstanding early-career researchers from abroad.

The initiative seeks to support talented young scholars who have demonstrated substantial achievements in natural sciences, engineering, and related fields. Successful applicants will be able to independently choose their research directions and carry out innovative projects in China.

Selected candidates will benefit from NUAA's comprehensive research support system, including access to advanced facilities and assistance in establishing their own research teams. The university also offers competitive compensation packages, housing support, and educational assistance for children, creating a supportive environment for international scholars and their families.

In addition, both the national government and Jiangsu province provide generous financial support, including a personal subsidy of 1 million yuan ($146,100) for successful awardees.

Applicants must be born on or after Jan 1, 1986, hold a doctoral degree, and have at least three years of overseas research or work experience.
