The 3rd Aerospace Frontiers Conference (AFC 2026) was held in Nanjing from April 11 to 12, bringing together leading experts and scholars to explore the latest advances in aerospace science and technology. The Chinese Journal of Aeronautics and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics co-hosted the event.
A total of 14 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering attended as distinguished guests. At the same time, more than 1,700 representatives from top universities, research institutes and industry organizations across China participated in the conference.
This year's conference featured 10 keynote speeches and 22 parallel forums. Leading experts shared their latest research findings across a wide range of frontier topics, including future space development, full-actuation and flight control systems, cross-domain unmanned systems, aerospace fiber materials and advanced navigation as well as aircraft health management and helicopter development.
Jiang Bin, president of NUAA, said the conference serves not only as a showcase of collective expertise but also as a platform for innovation and collaboration.
During the conference, several major awards were presented, including Best Paper, Outstanding Paper, Outstanding Reviewer, High-Impact Paper Author, and Most Influential Article Author. Faculty members and students from NUAA received awards across all categories, demonstrating the university's strong research capabilities and achievements in talent cultivation in the aerospace field.
