Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), one of China's leading institutions for aerospace education and research, and Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com have entered a strategic partnership to deepen industry-academia collaboration.
Under the agreement signed on June 10, the two sides are set to work together to better align educational resources with the evolving needs of the digital economy, creating a more responsive talent pipeline while fostering innovation in emerging industries.
JD.com brings strong industrial capabilities and research expertise in areas including smart logistics, artificial intelligence and the rapidly growing low-altitude economy. NUAA has built a strong reputation in frontier fields, including unmanned aerial vehicle technologies and low-altitude applications.
Building on their respective strengths, the university and the company will establish new mechanisms for collaborative talent development. The partnership will also extend to joint research in low-altitude technologies.
In addition, NUAA and JD.com will explore practical cooperation across a range of scenarios, including smart express delivery, autonomous distribution systems and campus services.
