Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics held its 2026 undergraduate graduation and degree conferment ceremony on June 18 at the gymnasium on the Jiangjunlu Campus, celebrating the achievements of the graduating class and marking the beginning of their next chapter.
During the ceremony, He Yaqiong, Party secretary of NUAA, presented the University's Achievement Awards to outstanding members of the Class of 2026.

A highlight of the event was an address by Xu Chaoliang, a 1983 alumnus of NUAA's helicopter design program and chief designer of the AC313 civil helicopter. Reflecting on his years at the university, Xu shared his experiences in tackling key helicopter technologies, developing rescue aircraft and overcoming challenges in high-altitude flight operations.

Drawing on decades of experience in China's aviation industry, Xu encouraged graduates to cultivate diverse interests and maintain a spirit of perseverance, curiosity and innovation. He urged them to seize opportunities in emerging sectors such as the low-altitude economy and commercial aerospace, contributing their talents to national strategic priorities and technological advancement.
