Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) welcomed a delegation from AECC Aero Science and Technology on July 9 for discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration in scientific research and talent cultivation.
During the meeting, NUAA President Jiang Bin highlighted aviation propulsion as one of the university's core academic strengths. He noted that NUAA and AECC possess highly complementary capabilities in engineering applications and product validation.
Jiang proposed two key priorities for future collaboration. The first is to deepen industry-university-research integration by jointly addressing technological challenges in areas such as metal processing, additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence, accelerating the translation of fundamental research into engineering applications.
The second is to expand joint talent development through larger-scale, industry-oriented master's and doctoral programs, while establishing shared training bases.
Zhang Sheng, general manager of AECC Aero Science and Technology, introduced the company's latest efforts to strengthen its technological capabilities through improvements in production systems, process management and core technology development.
Representatives from colleges of NUAA presented their respective research strengths and proposals for future collaboration.
Experts from both sides then held in-depth discussions on technology matching, collaborative research projects and joint talent cultivation, laying the groundwork for expanded cooperation in advancing innovation for China's aerospace industry.
