Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the University of Crete in Greece have launched a Digital Humanities Joint Research Center and unveiled a new academic journal, International Studies in Ecology and Culture, marking a new milestone in bilateral collaboration.

The two initiatives, announced on July 24, are designed to deepen interdisciplinary research collaboration while providing new platforms for international academic exchange.

The newly established research center builds on years of collaboration between the ecocriticism research team of NUAA's College of Foreign Languages and Professor Scott Slovic from the TALOS Center at the University of Crete. The center will promote research in areas including intelligent processing of classical languages, cross-cultural knowledge dissemination and digital humanities innovation.

The newly launched journal, International Studies in Ecology and Culture, also stems from this long-standing partnership. It aims to provide a global platform for research in ecological culture and environmental humanities, with a particular focus on integrating digital humanities approaches into ecological humanities studies.
