X-Semitech, a semiconductor company founded by two alumni of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on Aug 7.
It opened at 108 yuan ($16) per share on the first trading day and surged as much as 411 percent during the session. By the close, its market capitalization had reached 47.91 billion yuan.
Founded eight years ago, X-Semitech has developed technologies including ultra-miniaturized three-dimensional stacked packaging and integrated inductors. The company has established nine branches in cities including Hefei, Tianjin, Wuhan, Changsha and Xi'an.
As of 2023, the company had total assets of 938 million yuan and an annual operating revenue of 480 million yuan.
NUAA alumni also make up a significant share of X-Semitech's core management team. Eight of the company's 12 directors, supervisors and senior executives are NUAA alumni, creating a distinctive talent network built around their shared university background.
