The ninth China Aeronautical Science and Technology Conference was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, from Sept 10 to 12, with the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) playing a significant role in this prestigious event.
The China Aeronautic Science and Technology Conference is one of the highest-level, most authoritative, and influential events in China's aviation sector.
The conference this year attracted over 3,000 representatives from various sectors, including the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the air force, the navy, industry departments, universities, and research institutions. Among the attendees were 20 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Jiang Bin, president of NUAA, attended the opening ceremony of the conference and presided over the release of the 2026 edition of the High-Quality Science and Technology Journals in Aerospace Directory. This directory aims to promote equivalent standards between Chinese and international journals. It also includes NUAA's journals, such as the Journal of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Journal of Vibration, Measurement, and Diagnosis.
NUAA's vice-president, Xu Zhengyang, delivered a report on high-performance, low-cost electrochemical manufacturing technology for aerospace. Additionally, NUAA's doctoral and master's students were recognized in the 2026 China Aviation Society Graduate Thesis Support Project, and several faculty members received prestigious awards.
NUAA, in parallel with the event, also co-hosted the 42nd China Helicopter Academic Exchange Conference, underscoring its commitment to advancing aerospace research and innovation and reinforcing its pivotal role in China's aviation sector.
